1 The FOT shall keep a register of all vehicles licensed in Switzerland under this Act, unless they are entered on an EU vehicles register.
2 Holders of an operating licence shall submit their rolling stock to the FOT for entry in the register.
3 The register shall be accessible to all Swiss and foreign authorities with safety responsibilities, all investigating bodies in the event of an accident, and any person who has a legitimate interest.
Article 5i RailO Vehicle Register
1 Licensees shall enter their rolling stock data, defined as mandatory in Table 1, Annex II of Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/161455 on the Vehicles Register under Article 17a RailA. They shall enter the data on the European Centralised Virtual Vehicle Register if an international agreement requires.
2 They may enter in the register the other data required in Table 1 of the said Annex II.
3 Access rights shall be governed by Table 2 of the said Annex II.
4 The following should not be entered on the register (Article 57):
a. service vehicles equally able to run on rail and road (road-rail vehicles);
b. track-mountable/demountable service vehicles.
