1 The FOPH shall administer a central radon database. It shall enter on it the information necessary for constant assessment of the implementation of radon measurements and remediation and to carry out statistical and scientific studies.
2 The following data shall be entered on the central radon database for each building:
a.
location (grid reference, plot number);
b.
federal building identifier (EGID) and federal housing identifier (EWID) in accordance with the Ordinance of 31 May 2000 on the Federal Register of Buildings and Dwellings;’
c.
information on the premises;
d.
measured data for radon;
e.
remediation data;
f.
owner and user (name, address, postcode, place);
g.
date of construction.
3 Staff of the FOPH Radon Technical and Information Department shall be authorised to process the data from the database.
4 The following shall have electronic access to the database information listed below to fulfil their assigned tasks:
a.
approved radon measurement services: access to the data they gathered themselves;
b.
the cantons: access to all data gathered within their boundaries;
c.
Suva: access to all data gathered at workstations.
5 By virtue of a data protection agreement, the FOPH may provide information sourced from the database for research purposes on the following conditions:
a.
such data shall be made anonymous, as far as the purpose of processing permits;
b.
the data shall not be passed to third parties;
c.
if the results are published, this shall be in totally anonymous form.
