Act of 30 September 2016 on Energy

1 For purposes of freedom of information to end-consumers, the Federal Council may oblige energy sector businesses to publish personal data and data concerning legal persons in anonymised form or to disclose them to the competent federal authorities. This obligation may apply in particular to the following data:

a. electricity consumption and heat consumption by all customers or specific customer groups;
b. renewable energy sources and economical and efficient energy use;
c. measures taken or planned to promote economical and efficient electricity consumption and the use of indigenous and renewable energy sources.
